We primarily utilise recovered and recycled timbers to produce our bespoke fine furniture, giftware, and home decor as indicated on the listing of all products available for purchase. On occasion we are unable to source select species as recovered or recycled timbers, therefore we utilise a diverse range of domestic and internationally newly sourced timbers to achieve the desired outcome.

We recognise recovered timbers as newly sourced timber offcuts with no prior use, presenting with no timber defects or nail / screw holes, they are newly sourced timbers that are not dimensionally sufficient for reuse by larger timber furniture manufacturers. The incorporation of recovered timbers in our bespoke handmade fine furniture, giftware, and home decor is indicated as "Produced from recovered timbers"

We recognise recycled timbers as previously utilised timbers presenting with nail / screw holes or visible defects. The character and features derived from recycled timbers are highly aesthetically sought after in particular applications. We recognise newly sourced timbers as those that are directly purchased from a timber supplier, dealer or merchant and have been obtained from a natural or plantation forest. We ensure that we only purchase and utilise FSC certified domestic and internationally imported timbers.

Reasons why we are unable to utilise recovered or recycled timbers in certain applications.

• Insufficient quantities of similar, like or matching boards within a species.
• Insufficient dimensions of boards on hand to produce a product.
• International imported species may be unavailable to source as domestic recovered or recycled timbers and so have to be newly purchased.

• Offcuts from large furniture manufacturers and joinery's 
• Offcuts from educational institutions 
• Offcuts from local sawmills 
• Logs from arborists

• Cessation of joineries
